About
For over 25 years, Joe Rinkevich’s work has been at the forefront of sustainability planning, strategy, implementation, and achievement for client organizations and the startups Joe has launched during his career.
In 2008, Joe founded Scivera, a chemical safety software and services business. Scivera's innovative software and sustainable chemistry business processes changed the way companies evaluate product and process chemicals. In 2021, Scivera was acquired by Enhesa, a Belgium-based environmental, health, and safety compliance software company. Joe most recently served as Enhesa’s Global Head of Stakeholder Engagement until re-launching his sustainability consulting practice in 2023.
In the mid-2000s, Joe was part of the team at Blu Skye Sustainability Consulting that supported the development and launch of Walmart's business sustainability program.
Beginning in the mid-1990s and for nearly a decade, Joe helped start and grow one of the first sustainability consulting services firms, MBDC, the organization that developed the Cradle-to-Cradle design concept.
